BIO
Timmy K is a St. Paul Minnesota native who was originally trained in classical trumpet methodology by Lynn Erickson of the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra. While at Augsburg University he furthered his general studies of music with a focus on jazz and specifically jazz improv and was trained by the late and great Minneapolis trumpet legend Gene Adams. While in college Timmy K broadened his focus to include the acoustic guitar. Over the years he has developed a mostly finger picking acoustic style incorporating elements from a wide variety of musical genres. Today Timmy K is mostly focused on a solo acoustic set, though you will hear elements of trumpet, keyboard and electronic incorporations throughout his latest album Truth, released in early 2018.
TRUTH
Truth is an eclectic mix of tracks containing elements of folk, jazz, classical fingerpicking acoustic guitar and modern hip hop aspects. Timmy K's live shows consist of solo acoustic sets, along with a bass stomp pedal to add rhythm. The album contains a range of tracks reflecting acoustic live shows and tracks that are built out further to enhance the listening experience.
